How Oat in Dounat Started
Born and raised in Bali, I grew up around good food, strong culture, and even stronger coffee. I’m the the guy that love a coffee, natural process beans, medium roast, no sugar, and a desert that’s my daily ritual.
But at some point, I realized something important: I needed to live healthier.
Less sugar. Less junk. More real food.
Pretty simple, right?
Except… finding a healthy dessert that actually tastes good is almost impossible.
Most of them taste like cardboard, grass, or sadness, let’s be honest.
So instead of giving up dessert completely (which is illegal in my world), I started experimenting in my kitchen. Oats, sweet potato, monk fruit clean ingredients that still feel good to eat.
After countless trials, failures, “why is this wet inside?”, “why is this dry?”, “why does this taste like punishment?” moments.
I finally made something I genuinely wanted to eat every day.
That’s how Oat in Dounat was born, a healthy donut that’s actually good.
Gluten-free, dairy-free, no sugar, baked not fried, and still tastes like something you’d want with your morning coffee.
Especially a V60.
This isn’t a brand built in a boardroom.
It’s just me, a Bali kid who loves coffee, cares about health, and refuses to settle for boring dessert.
